- "Andrea Simon: Style on both sides of the lens"

Andrea Simon

I have been around cameras my entire life. My father would take photos of me in my diapers walking around playing with my Barbies. He has been a photographer for over forty years and we would always capture moments during my childhood. It never really bothered me because I liked being in front of the camera. It wasn't until 3 years ago when I finally became curious about what was behind the camera. It really isn't as easy as you think. I started off with using natural light, using my female friends as my models. After looking at numerous fashion magazines, I too, became passionate about studio work using lights, backdrops and better wardrobe styling for my subjects. I now work in collaborations with modeling agencies, stylists, designers and  makeup artists in the DFW area.

I am constantly aiming to execute my skill so that I may one day be a photographer for a fashion magazine and ultimately own my own studio in NYC. A few photographers I truly admire are Annie Leibovitz, Nima Benati, Emily Soto, Lara Jade, Kat Irlin, David Dellemere, Peter Lindbergh, Patrick Demarchelier and Mario Testino.

Thanks for stopping by!  xoxo
